Preparing the laminator for operation
To operate, you must ensure that the device is ready for the process.
How to charge a laminator
If your laminator model runs on a battery, then it is important to charge it before laminating. To do this you should Connect the power cable first to the equipment and only then to the outlet.
The charging process is indicated by a lit indicator LED.
Reference! According to the standard, during charging the indicator lights up red, and when charging is complete its color changes to green.
There may be other indications, so we recommend that you look at this information in the user manual to clarify.
How to turn on the equipment and prepare the device for operation
Before you insert paper into the machine, it is necessary to check the presence of film in a special compartment. It usually opens after moving the latch on the housing. If you are unable to open the compartment, then most likely the device has not cooled down yet. Therefore, the latch is locked by the device for your safety.
Attention! We strongly recommend using the original device included in the kit for charging. If you use a different charging cable, the battery may fail after a while.
Before laminating, you must press the power button and wait a few minutes. Some models provide an indication that notifies the owner that the device has warmed up and is ready for use.
How to laminate correctly
- Load the required amount of laminate into the equipment.
Advice! If you do not know the exact length of the film to be loaded, then this information can be clarified in the operating instructions (it comes with the device).
- Turn on the device and wait a few minutes for it to warm up. If your device operates in automatic mode, then you need to wait until the corresponding LED lights up.
- Cut the sheet according to the required dimensions. Be sure to do this operation before lamination.
Important! After lamination, cutting the paper is highly not recommended, because the paper layer will be exposed. This layer may tear or become wet, and then the lamination will not perform its function.
- Slide the paper into the lamination slot, then push it a little to allow the machine to accept the paper. Then turn the switch to feed. The lamination process will now begin.
- Be sure to wait for the process to complete! Never interrupt the feed in the middle of the sheet! This can result in damage to the lamination object.
- When you see the second edge of the document come out, you can turn off the feed and heat function on the device. Now you can cut the lamination film using scissors or a utility knife.
- Next, you need to trim the film along the edges of the element that you laminated. Be sure to step back 3-4 millimeters from it. In this case, the paper will definitely be protected from moisture and dust.
Important! The device should be stored in such a way as to prevent access by children, as it belongs to the group of fire hazards.
Additional recommendations
- If you have recently purchased lamination equipment, then It's very important to practice. You need to practice on scraps of paper or unnecessary documents. If you use securities, they may be damaged.
- After laminating a document, do not immediately pick it upbecause you can get burned. It will take 2-3 minutes for the laminating layer to cool.
- You can laminate several small documents at the same time. But it is only important to leave a distance of 1 cm between them. In this case, the plastic layer is well soldered between the elements, and they will also be well protected.
- If you need to laminate a lot of documents, you should do this intermittently, as overheating is dangerous for this equipment.
Treat your equipment correctly and it will serve you for a long time. We wish you success!
