How to disassemble an xbox 360 wireless joystick

To disassemble the device you will need the following items:

1. Torx 8 screwdriver.
2. Small Phillips screwdriver.
3. Flat-head screwdriver (can be replaced with any flat object).

Disassembling the xbox 360 wireless joystick: step by step

Disassembly can be complete or partial. It all depends on the goals. For example, if you plan to repair the board, you should stop at point 5.

The process for disassembling the gamepad is as follows:

1. You must remove the cover from the battery compartment (located on the rear panel).
2. Remove the batteries or accumulator.
3. Unscrew the screws. There are 7 of them. One is covered with a sticker that will have to be torn off.
4. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the back cover.
5. Now the fee is removed. We pry it off from the side where the headphone port is located.
6. Now we take out the buttons and elastic bands. If you turn the device over, they will fall out on their own.
7. To remove the crosspiece, unscrew the screws using a Phillips screwdriver. Now we remove the part with our own hands.
8. To remove the sticks, you need to pull them towards you.
9. But it is more difficult to dismantle triggers. First, they are pressed at the bottom (this can be done by pressing a screwdriver on the small recess on the inside).
10. Now we move apart the fasteners holding the button and take out the spring.
11. The last step is to flip the key up and pull it out.
12. Disassembling the gamepad is complete. You can reassemble the device by performing all the steps in reverse order. And damaged parts can be replaced during the assembly process.
