PS4 joystick flashes white and does not work

Playstation 4 consoles, produced by the Japanese company Sony, still do not lose their popularity both among advanced gamers and among amateurs who use them for fun after work or study. One of the elements necessary for a full-fledged game is a joystick. Modern models produced specifically for the Playstation, or gamepads as they are also called, not only control the game process, but also have a lot of additional functions. However, like all mechanical elements, they can fail, signaling a problem with yellow and white signals.

What to do if the ps4 joystick flashes white and does not turn on

Most modern joysticks are wireless, which makes them both easier and more difficult to use. At the end of each gamepad there is a built-in LED indicator, the signals of which are responsible for a specific action.

IMPORTANT. A continuous white glow means that the device is paired with the console and is ready for use.

Sometimes it happens that the white glow of the indicator is present, but it is not stable. In other words, if the joystick is constantly blinking white, something is wrong. In most cases, such a signal indicates that synchronization with the console has not taken place.

What should you do in this case?

• You need to make sure there are no obstacles to the signal. The good thing about wired joysticks is that almost nothing can interfere with their operation. Wireless gamepads refuse to work if there is furniture or other obstruction between them and the console. Also, synchronization will not occur if the player himself is too far from the installation location of the Playstation 4 console.

IMPORTANT. Modern gamepads can connect to both consoles and personal computers. Sometimes malfunctions, indicated by a white glow, can be caused by the fact that the joystick is connected to the computer and cannot receive a signal from the ps4.

• Connect the cable. If the first solution to the problem does not give the desired results, the joystick can be connected directly to the PS4 console using a standard USB cable.

IMPORTANT. When connecting a gamepad directly to the console, a technical glitch in the program or other errors may occur. To correct the situation, you need to reset all settings by holding down the Reset button on the joystick panel. Next, pairing will occur as usual.

Why is the PS4 joystick blinking yellow and not working?

If attempts to reconnect the joystick after unsuccessful synchronization are unsuccessful, the indicator begins to blink yellow. Also, flashing yellow light may begin immediately after turning on the gamepad. The following reasons could provoke the appearance of such a signal:

• the aforementioned synchronization problem;
• signal blocking;
• failure to update or operate the software;
• technical errors;
• insufficient charge.

Most technical errors can be fixed by resetting existing settings and downloading new software.This applies to both consoles and computers.

IMPORTANT. Most wireless gamepad models have one significant drawback - the lack of a replaceable battery. If the device blinks yellow and does not take charge from the cord, most likely the battery has exhausted its resources and needs to be replaced with a new one.

If the problem of blinking of the indicator located on the joystick body has not been solved by the methods described above, the device must be submitted for diagnostics. Service center specialists will determine the cause of the breakdown and, if possible, completely eliminate it.
