By creating the first AirPods models, Apple designers definitely set a trend for 10-15 years to come. They provided consumers with a completely new solution to the cable problem in headphones based on the contact of the device with a phone or other gadget through Bluetooth pairing. Everyone was already tired of the wires, they were waiting for something new, which is what happened.

TWS, abbreviated as True Wireless Stereo, is a stereo system based on wireless connection technology. The system itself is implemented using two radio modules, one built into the earpiece. You won't find any wires here (except for the charging box, but we'll talk about that later). Stereo systems are divided into in-ear and in-ear.

The latter, in comparison with standard systems, are many times more practical and convenient. The technology allows you to connect to a smartphone in a matter of seconds, because engineers have implemented the following process:

1. The smartphone “connects” to the main speaker (mostly the right earphone).
2. The signal is transmitted to an additional device, which is a paired earphone in a stereo system, without connecting the phone to it.

Many people are confused and do not understand what this technology really is. Therefore, there are also frequent tricks of sellers (from the same Aliexpress), who tend to label ordinary stereo systems as True Wireless, inflating the price. Believe me, there are many, if not most, such models on the market.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of a wireless system?

In this category we will talk about branded models, and not about their fakes. After all, the originals are many times different from their copies. The latter have more disadvantages than any advantages.

Advantages of True Wireless:

• There is absolutely no need for a connection cable;
• convenience and ergonomics;
• simple intuitive controls;
• work with the charging box for 10 hours or more.

There are also some shortcomings, which, most likely, have been corrected or will be corrected in the near future in new models:

• rarely supports high-resolution audio codecs, so the sound sags a little, which cannot be said about wired ones;
• quality of communication: phone conversations with headphones often sound like they’re in a cellar, or when there’s wind you can’t hear anything at all;
• average microphone quality (the device was not created to be used as a mono speaker);
• The autonomy of the headphones themselves without a box differs significantly (some can boast 2-3 hours, more expensive devices – 5 or more. Copies will show about 1.5 hours of battery life, which will decrease as you use the stereo system).

Let's analyze this item according to several components: from wearing rules to connecting and managing the system.

1. How to wear. There are 3 ear pad options: from small to large. Choose a size that will not fall out of your ear when moving or playing sports.
2. Paired devices have the following designations: R – insert into the right ear; L – to the left. Wear them correctly to get the most out of your listening experience.

How they turn on: the technology is designed so that the earphone starts up automatically as soon as you take it out of the charging box. If the case is dead or has not been recharged for a long time, and the system does not turn on, press the working button of the earphone (mechanical or touch) and hold it for 3 seconds.

Bluetooth pairing: Both earbuds will connect to each other as soon as you open the charging case. Then turn on the Bluetooth function on your phone and find among the list of available devices a device that matches the name of your stereo system.
