What material will protect you on a hot day?

• polyvinyl chloride combined with fiberglass. The combination is not natural, but it will immediately block the flow of excess heat into the room. At the same time, the fabric looks very decent, beautiful and easily tolerates high humidity;
• polyester combined with satin or cotton. There are even curtains made from polyester alone. This material by default has an antistatic effect, so even without impregnation, the curtain will not let heat into the room.

Although both materials - polyester and PVC - have an artificial base, they are incredibly durable and do not deform from high temperature and humidity. The same cannot be said about natural materials.

Black-out curtains can not only protect from the sun, but also moderately absorb excess noise from the street.

What material will make the situation worse?

The pursuit of everything natural and natural is incredibly fashionable today. But if you have to suffer from the natural sun and heat in the house, it is better to abandon the idea of ​​choosing natural fabrics.Materials such as:

• linen. Linen curtains will add a touch of country style to the interior; they will delight you with their porous structure; they can have all sorts of shades and patterns. But the heat and rays of the sun will pass through mercilessly;
• cotton. Natural cotton fabrics flowing along the window opening are a classic for window decoration. But this material does not have sun protection properties, and there is no point in impregnating it with solutions.

For “sunny” windows, it is better to choose cool shades of curtains. And in order not to upset the balance in the interior, you need to combine color and pattern with the upholstery.
