The requirements for children's plumbing are stricter than for adults - only those models that comply with certain specifications are allowed for sale. For example, a toilet for babies should:

• do not exceed the dimensions established by GOST 30493-96;
• be made of safe materials and equipped with a seat that can be cleaned daily with disinfectants (clause 6.19 of SanPiN 2.4.1.3049-13).

Types and design features

In fact, children's plumbing differs from adult plumbing only in size, if we talk about essential features. Everything else - from the shape to the drainage system - is absolutely identical to the features of adult plumbing. Children's toilets can also be either floor-mounted or wall-hung.

Material of manufacture

The most affordable plumbing fixtures for kids are made from ceramics. Usually it can be found in government institutions (nurseries, hospitals, schools). However, there are also more expensive models, for example, made of earthenware or porcelain. It is recommended to install such products in apartments and private houses.

Colors

The shades of children's sanitary ware can be very different, but the main range, of course, is bright, catchy, and often all the elements are multi-colored. Roughly speaking, the same sink can be painted in all the colors of the rainbow.
