How to glue skirting boards to the ceiling

The sequence of actions directly depends on the type of materials used. It matters whether the wallpaper needs to be replaced or whether it can be glued over the old ones.

Step by step guide

You should start by purchasing tools.The final step is to wait until it dries completely. The speed of the process depends on the adhesive composition.

Necessary equipment

During the work, glue, ceiling plinth and, possibly, sealant will be used. Tools you will also need:

• ruler;
• pencil;
• construction knife;
• roulette;
• brush;
• rubber spatula;
• clean rags;
• miter box.

If the room has a tensile structure, additionally use a polyethylene lining. It is placed between the fillet and the ceiling, and is removed as the glue hardens.

Preparing for work

Common mistakes

• Excessive smoothness of the back of the baguette. The reverse side should be rough for better grip.
• Drafts, sudden temperature changes.
