Oh, your wallpaper is stained

The use of spotted wallpaper in the interior does not always make the design unlaconic. Very often, such a decision can add a rather successful accent to the atmosphere, if, of course, everything is done correctly.

But what can we even call stains on canvases? Sometimes it is complete asymmetry, multicoloredness, blots, large strokes, diversity, and sometimes even deliberate rudeness. We will show that in some projects this solution turned out to be quite effective and cool, because many designers very often prefer pronounced spotting to a regular pattern on the wallpaper (or its absence at all).

Kristen Ledet Interiors

This full-service design firm, specializing in both residential and commercial projects, decided to give its clients' bathroom a makeover and added mega-cool wallpaper that looks more like an artist's palette. It all looks very lively, juicy and unusual.

GMI Design Group

But this Greater Springfield, Missouri-area interior design firm that specializes in kitchen and bath remodeling decided to take a creative approach to decorating a powder room. What happened in the end? The rough circles in black did not affect the expressive visual effect at all.

The wallpaper brought a special brightness to this room, highlighting the furniture in powdery shades and snow-white plumbing fixtures.

In one of their projects, they used spotted wallpaper in two rooms at once - the dining room and the bathroom. And it turned out, it must be said, very attractive.

Studio P Interiors

Toronto-based interior design studio offering design services for residential and commercial projects. Similarly, they really like to use stains in rooms, and they have several successful projects where this particular technique gave the atmosphere of the room a very pronounced effect of brightness and richness. In the first case, this is a bathroom, where the wallpaper imitates terrazzo; in the second, it is a living room with rough, but very successful strokes.
