10 insidious items that will never make your home comfortable

Perhaps comfort in the house is the main goal of any housewife. Not only the sensations of being in the room, but also the emotional state depend on this. Often, some seemingly insignificant little things can completely disrupt the feeling of comfort and completely ruin the interior of the house. What items should you discard or, conversely, purchase in order to achieve maximum comfort in your own home?

Open shelves in the kitchen and glass doors

open shelves
If you put things in order on the shelves in the kitchen in a timely manner, then usually there are no problems. But if your shelves look like they’ve been damaged, and you always don’t have enough time to put them in order, then it’s better to abandon such structures and replace them with opaque materials.

Large mirror in the bathroom

It's one thing when the mirror is located away from the taps and shower. In this case, it is impossible to splash it with toothpaste, cleansing milk or soap. If you do not plan to polish the mirror surface every day, try to place a slightly smaller mirror above the washbasin.

Lack of shoe rack

As a rule, shoes scattered throughout the corridor not only interfere with movement around the apartment, but also collect a lot of garbage and dust, which are safely carried to other rooms. The presence of sand and dirt on the floor, which is carried into the house on shoes, completely kills all the comfort. To remedy the situation, purchase a small shoe rack. This will not only free up space, but will also avoid problems with dirt.

White wallpaper in the hallway

White wallpaper in the hallway is another problem for the visual perception of the room. Usually they are very easy to get dirty from the same shoes, children's scooter or bicycle, as well as dirty bags. To avoid having to deal with this problem on a daily basis, replace the light wallpaper in the hallway with darker wallpaper or any other material that can be washed. This could be, for example, plastic or wood. In any case, this is better than dirty drips and stains.

No curtain in the bathroom

Taking a bath and using a shower are completely different processes. And this, of course, could be felt by those who do not have a curtain in the bathroom. During bathing, splashes scatter throughout the room, then dry up, and in their place ugly white stains appear, which in no way add comfort and coziness to the room.

Large carpets

The days when a rug on the wall made a living room feel cozy are long gone. Nowadays minimalism and the absence of any long-pile coverings are in fashion. If you just need to put something on the floor, buy a small bright rug that will not spoil the interior, but will only add some “zest.”

Dishes with cracks and chips

cracks on dishes
Agree that no one likes to eat from a cracked plate or drink tea from a cup that has been glued together several times.Today, purchasing new dishes is quite affordable for any family, even with an average income.

Exposed wires and cables

Exposed wires hanging from the walls, or cables that are located around the perimeter of the entire room, not only do not add coziness to your home, but also cause serious concern. And we’re not just talking about short circuits or defects in the wires themselves. You may not notice the obstacle, trip and cause damage to your health. Therefore, if you want to not only protect yourself, but also add comfort to your home, try to remove all unnecessary carriers and chargers, and also insulate the wiring.

Artificial flowers

artificial flowersArtificial flowers went out of fashion back in the 90s of the last century. If you don't want your home to look like grandma's room, swap out any artificial bouquets for a living indoor plant, and you will immediately notice the difference.

A large number of decorative items

Figurines, candles, photo frames, vases, souvenirs, small shells and colored stones not only create the feeling of a flea market, but also collect a huge amount of dust. Needless to say, such a “meeting” spoils even the most comfortable room, especially if it’s all collected on one shelf.

Pictures from puzzles

paintingUndoubtedly, any hobby should be appreciated, especially if a person has achieved professionalism in it and he likes doing what he does. But, to be honest, the days of puzzle paintings ended at the same time as the popularity of wall hangings and artificial flowers. Of course, you can hang a picture in your room by choosing the right color scheme for the frame and the picture itself. But in the living room, where relatives and friends often gather, it is better to abandon this idea.

Comments and feedback:

I don't agree with many points. Carpets. If the room is 25-30 sq. m. and there is nothing there except a sofa and a TV, then a small rug will look like a patch. Pictures from puzzles, which are assembled by a child and hung in the hallway or nursery, are also very harmonious. Artificial flowers, made with high quality, look great in the bathroom and toilet rooms. White wallpaper in the corridor visually enlarges the room and the corridor does not look so gloomy. And you can easily do without a shoe rack. It is enough to wash the dirty shoes that you just entered the house in and put them in the closet.

A large carpet (carpet) on the floor from window to door, under the sofa, really spoils the view. A small carpet is better.
