Purpose of an air humidifier. Operating principle of Ballu-Uhb 200.
The Ballu-Uhb 200 air humidifier is designed to maintain a comfortable/user-specified humidity level in a room. Comfortable air humidity levels are considered to be relative humidity in the range of 40-60%. The mechanical control device, that is, whatever humidity parameter the user has set, will be maintained. There is no automatic mode.
The operating principle of Ballu-Uhb 200 is based on “ultrasonic evaporation”: from the water tank there is a small outlet to the vaporization chamber. There, ultrasound acts on a small portion of water, splitting the water into tiny droplets. When these droplets gather, they form a vapor cloud in the chamber. A low-power fan supplies air from the room there. Thus, the water turns into steam, through which air is passed. Humidity adjustment increases/decreases the dose of water that turns into steam.
Ultrasound that splits water cannot be heard by either people or pets. It and its emitting membranes are safe for all living organisms.
Why are humidifiers needed?
Naturally, to increase the humidity level in the room. But why is this? Dry air negatively affects the life of people, animals, and plants:
- It causes the mucous membranes to dry out - lips become dry and cracked, and there is a burning sensation in the eyes.
- It promotes the spread of infections, bacteria, viruses and diseases through airborne droplets
- Causes fatigue, drowsiness, and decreased concentration
- Plants often dry out/die in such air.
In addition, dry air has an increased electrostatic charge and more dust is formed in it - as a result, this damages furniture and negatively affects musical instruments.

How to use a Ballu humidifier. How to properly connect the device. How to fill the water tank.
To fill the water tank:
Remove the reservoir from the sprayer itself, and then remove it from the base of the device. To do this, grab the walls of the unit and pull up. After this, you need to unscrew the cap of the water tank.It unscrews counterclockwise. Next, fill the water tank and insert it back.
Using/connecting the humidifier:
Plug the humidifier into the outlet. In this case, the voltage should be 220 Volts and the frequency 50 Hertz.
If the device has a faulty plug or cable, do not try to plug it into the outlet - it is better to contact a service center. You only need to turn on the humidifier in the correct position - if you connect it upside down, it may break.
Inclusion
To turn on the device, you need to turn the control knob. A green light will light up around it, and after a few seconds steam will begin to come out of the humidifier. You can regulate the speed of steam release by turning the same knob (to the right - more steam, to the left - less).
You can fill the water tank with tap water. All water from the tank passes through a special filter in the form of a cartridge. It softens water, retaining salts and other large elements.
Shutdown
To turn off the device, you need to turn the steam speed control knob to the left until it clicks. After this, the light around the handle will go out, steam will stop coming out of the humidifier and the device will turn off. Finally, unplug the appliance. If you turn off the device by removing the plug from the socket, it can quickly become unusable. Such damage is not covered by the warranty.
When the device runs out of water, the indicator around the control knob begins to glow red. This is done to inform the user that the water in the humidifier has run out. The device itself turns off. When you add water, it will work normally again.
Caring for the air humidifier Ballu-Uhb 200
Any equipment must be cleaned in order for it to perform its functions properly. Ballu-Uhb 200 is no exception. To clean it, you need to:
- Unplug the device from the outlet (otherwise you risk getting an electric shock).
- Wipe the device body from dust with a soft dampened cloth (do not use other liquids to clean the humidifier - they can damage the device body/cause a fire).
- Wipe off any remaining water inside the water outlet under the tank.
- Wipe the membrane with a dry soft brush or cloth.
- Remove the water tank and wash it. When washing, do not use much force to avoid breaking it.
- Remove any remaining water from the sprayer and wipe it with a dry cloth.
- Dry the humidifier elements after washing. Check that there is no water left in the humidifier
- Put the device back together.
The manufacturer recommends doing this cleaning once or twice a week, then the device will serve you for the stated 5 years. The warranty is issued by the selling store and differs depending on the store.
How to store Ballu-Uhb 200
The model must be stored completely dry. If you do not plan to use the humidifier in the near future or you are moving, then before packing the device you need to clean it from dirt and moisture. Store the device in a plastic bag in the box or packaging of the device. The relative humidity of the room in which the humidifier is stored should not exceed 85%.
