To do this, we need to get rid of the paint on it by burning the can itself on gas (or you can use a regular paint remover).Next, we need to take an ordinary steel wool and, using it with some detergent, wipe our jar (be sure to do this inside too, in order to avoid unpleasant bacteria);
- After this, take a felt-tip pen or marker and mark the middle of the jar and draw a strip along the ruler. In the same way, we mark future cuts for our ham cutter;
- Now we take our electric drill with a 2-3 mm drill and make a hole just below the top edge. Next, use a round needle file to cut a little under the flat file. We make a cut down along the line we marked (or cut with scissors), which will not be difficult;
- After that, we do the same with the other sides and refine the burrs with a little sandpaper. Next, from our steel wire we make something like hooks (2 pieces) using pliers;
- Now we make holes at the bottom of the can for our stainless steel springs (1 mm). We bend and clamp the springs in the holes;
- Next, we cut out the pressure plate from the sheet metal of the required size or use the appropriate cover. We go through the entire upper edge with pliers;
- We place our hooks in a cross pattern in the cuts on the lid or plate, and pull them to the required pressure so that the meat begins to press.
