There are several ways to remove the top cover of a washing machine. The choice of specific instructions depends on what kind of device you need to deal with. Front-loading models are most often used, although vertical devices are also available. The action algorithm for each case is described in the article.

Which cars can have the cover removed?

Understanding how to remove the lid of a washing machine is not difficult. This operation is necessary in cases where you need to gain access to sensors, wiring or other parts. The sequence of actions is as follows:

1. To remove the top cover of the washing machine, you first need to turn off the power and pull it out. Next, go to the back side and unscrew the fasteners.
2. Next, the lid is gently pushed backwards to move it away, as shown in the photo.
3. Now it’s clear how to remove the front cover of the washing machine. The moment the panel leaves the guide groove, you can remove it. Next, you can begin to inspect and repair damaged parts.
4. Next, the panel is placed back and secured with fasteners.

If the machine is top loading

It is quite clear that the design of the Indesit top-loading washing machine is somewhat different from the classic front-loading models described above. In this case, the removal instructions are as follows:

1. It is not difficult to understand how to open the top cover of a washing machine. It is regularly opened before and after washing. But to start disassembling, you need to act differently. First, the unit is disconnected from the network.
2. Next, unscrew the 2 screws under the control panel (they are located on the left and right, shown in the photo).

6. Finally, you may need to replace the lid of a top-loading washing machine or classic front-loading models. In this case, it is completely dismantled, a new panel is installed and bolted.

Complex cases

2. Next, raise the panel again and simultaneously move it forward.
3. If it doesn’t work out, you need to feel the right angle at which it is convenient to work. After a few attempts, you will be able to remove the panel.
