What are the parts called in a washing machine? Correspondence table for washing machine spare parts

The parts of the washing machine have precise names, which are indicated by special markings. For example, the Samsung washing machine has a heating element htr000sa, while Bosch has a similar element called Bosch Maxx. There are also common names for each part, for example, control board, pump, motor and others. Each of them is discussed in detail in the presented article.

Main details

The basis of the machine is an electric motor that rotates the drum. However, these are not the only components - the control module and the heating element are also of great importance. The washing machine parts, names and their purposes are described below.

Control board

This is a control module, which is a board with a processor. It is she who controls all processes from starting the wash and heating the water to rinsing and spinning. The board is equipped with microchips made of semiconductors. Signals from various control sensors are received here:

  • water flow into the tank;
  • its temperature;
  • water exiting the tank into the drain system.

Based on this data, the module starts certain processes, for example, a pump to pump out liquid or rotate the drum in accelerated mode during spinning.

Engine

The name of the washing machine spare parts speaks for itself: the engine is the main part that starts the drum. Moreover, the elements can be connected in 2 ways:

  • direct drive (no belt, direct);
  • belt drive (using a belt).

The first option is more durable, which is why direct drive is installed in most modern units. The belt wears out over time, so periodically it has to be tightened onto the pulley or replaced with a new one.

Tank and drum

Tank and drum

A tank is a container, often made of stainless steel and less often of durable plastic. This is where the water comes in during the wash cycle. The tank contains a drum that rotates along with the clothes. There is also a heating element and a sensor that controls the water level.

Shock absorbers

These are the elements that are located at the bottom of the case. They are short in length (20 cm), but at the same time they perform an important task - they dampen the vibrations of the tank, which are inevitably observed during the rotation of the drum. As a rule, shock absorbers are quite reliable, but sometimes they wear out. In this case, the drum produces extraneous noise and knocking during operation.

Ten

This is the name of the heating element, which is installed at the bottom of the tank. It heats the water to the desired temperature, after which the temperature sensor sends a signal to the control module and the washing cycle begins.

Motor brushes

Additional elements that transmit electricity to the collector, which is installed on the engine. Durable products, work flawlessly for several years. But over time they wear out, which is why the drum stops spinning.

Bearing and seal

A bearing is a part that sits in the tank seal.Thanks to this unit, the drum can rotate normally, including in intensive mode during spinning. Made of stainless steel.

Bearing and seal

The oil seal itself is motionless and ensures complete tightness. Essentially, this is a rubber ring that protects the steel bearing from destruction due to contact with water.

Water level sensor

There are quite a few small elements in the car that also play an important role. One of them is a sensor that controls the water level (also called a pressure switch). The main elements of this part are a small tube that fits into the tank and a relay.

Water level sensor

As soon as water has arrived in the required volume, a signal is sent from the sensor to the control module. It causes the valve to automatically close, which prevents excess liquid from entering the tank.

water pump

This is a drain pump that pumps water out of the tank. It is a small electric motor to which a rotating plastic impeller is attached. At the end of the washing cycle, it discharges the waste liquid into the sewer pipe.

Door with lock

The door is often called a hatch. It is made of transparent organic glass of high strength. It is inserted into a plastic rim that closes the entire structure with a lock. The mechanism holds the door tightly until the end of work, so that water does not leak out through it. The opening and closing of the lock is adjusted automatically.

Spare parts correspondence table

Many elements cannot be repaired, so in the event of a breakdown, there is only one solution - complete replacement. It is important to consider which parts can be installed on a particular model. To do this, below is a table of correspondence of spare parts for washing machines using the Samsung model range as an example.

If you need to install a new part of the washing machine, it is better to take it with you to the store and buy exactly the same or similar one, using the table as a guide. In some cases, you can replace the element yourself. But if you don’t have such a skill, it’s better not to risk it and turn to a specialist.
