In what cases does the brush need to be repaired?

Over time, the brush may fail due to wear or careless handling, for example, when hitting furniture or the floor surface. In this case, there is an option to buy another brush, but it is not always on sale and may be too expensive.

In addition, it makes sense to periodically disassemble the brush for cleaning. Dirt, hair residues, animal hair, and lint inevitably get stuck in it. This is especially true for private homes and large rooms where cleaning is carried out regularly.

To work you will need a minimum of tools:

• screwdriver;
• awl;
• cog;
• screw;
• glue or electrical tape;
• hacksaw or file.

Step-by-step instruction

If the brush is broken, you can fix it yourself in a matter of minutes. To do this, turn the brush over and act like this:

1. Remove the pin that holds the wheels.
2. It is made with cuts, so you need to pry up the wheels with a screwdriver and push the pin to the edge.
3. The detail looks like this.
4. Disconnect the part - if it is broken, replace it and insert it in the same way.
5. To enhance the reinforcement, make a small hole on either side.
6. Connect the parts, insert an awl into the hole and start scrolling so that a trace of the thread remains on the plastic.
7. Saw off along the cut with a grinder, hacksaw or file.
8. Insert a small screw into the same hole. If the hole is too large, you can fill it with glue or secure it with electrical tape.
9. Tighten the inserted screw.
10. Connect all parts in reverse order, insert the pin.

How to clean hair from a brush

As already mentioned, hairs and fur periodically get stuck in the brush, so over time it will have to be cleaned. To do this, proceed as follows:

1. Remove the protective cover.
2. Use a screwdriver to unscrew each of the 6 screws that secure the two halves.
3. Take the brush halves apart - it should look something like this.
4. One of the rollers is covered with a protective plastic casing - it protects the small wheel. A belt goes to it, in turn. Hair and fur accumulate on all these parts, which need to be removed.
