Very important: what you need to know about connecting gas stoves

Surely you have often heard the phrase that “absolutely all activities with gas equipment can be carried out exclusively by gas company employees.” It is important to know that it must be understood literally and categorically. And we will explain what this means from a practical point of view.

Important! Let's say right away that we will talk about connecting gas stoves to the mains in an apartment or private house. As for household appliances where gas is supplied from a cylinder, such situations are not regulated by law.

Task #1 - connection

It is prohibited to connect the gas stove yourself. Moreover, this applies not only to future users, but also to employees of the store where the stove was purchased (many of them offer installer services, which, of course, should be ignored).

Only gas company employees have the right to connect a gas stove to the mains.

But this option should also be abandoned, since in the future, when checking the meter or checking the stove itself, this can easily be discovered.

How to act correctly? Call a specialist from the gas service. Task No. 2 - connecting the hood

• close the valve at the end of cooking;

• Take the broken device to the trash bin, rather than take it to the dacha.

As you can see, working with gas equipment is a responsible, complex and very dangerous task. Any wrong actions can lead to tragedy, and therefore it is better to entrust everything to specialists and not do anything yourself in an effort to save money.

Remember that at the slightest problem: the flame smokes, turns yellow instead of blue, hisses or whistles - immediately turn off the burner.
