Installation of a fireplace stove in the house: how to install it correctly and what to place it on

Installation of a fireplace stove is carried out in several stages. First you need to figure out where to put the equipment, taking into account fire safety requirements. The installation itself is not very complicated, but requires precision in planning and assembly. The main steps and requirements are detailed below.

Selecting a location

Before you can figure out how to install a fireplace, you need to find a suitable location. It is determined taking into account considerations of convenience, aesthetics and fire safety. There are several basic requirements:

  1. As a rule, the fireplace is placed next to the wall or in the corner. The position must be determined in such a way that the distance to the opposite wall in a straight line is at least 130 cm.
  2. If the nearest wall where the fireplace is located is covered with non-combustible material, the distance to it should be at least 40 cm. In the absence of such insulation, the interval should be from 110 cm (taking into account the fact that to the opposite wall - from 130 cm).
  3. The room should not be too small - if the device runs on wood, the minimum area is 16 m2.
  4. It is important to decide where to place the fireplace stove. To do this, a so-called pre-furnace sheet must be laid on the floor. In essence, it is a small base in height and area, which can be made of different materials.

How to install a fireplace

At the base of the fireplace there may be asbestos cardboard, on which a steel sheet with a thickness of 1 mm is placed.Sides are formed around it from a non-flammable material. This sheet should extend at least 60 cm from the firebox door, and at least 30 cm along the other sides. Another option is to make a brick base, i.e. podium as shown in the photo.

A protective screen is also installed on the walls, which should completely cover the corresponding sides of the housing and protrude 30% more (minimum 30 cm).

Installation and installation of a fireplace stove also involves choosing a location for the chimney outlet. The pipe runs along the wall, then exits through a hole in the wall directly to the street. Then it goes vertically again and rises above the roof, ending with a small head. Therefore, you should plan in advance where to make the exit hole - usually it is formed at the top of the wall under the ceiling.

Tools and materials

Now all that remains is to figure out how to install a fireplace stove in the house. The stove itself is purchased ready-made, taking into account the size of the room, body material and other parameters. For assembly and installation you will need the following tools and materials:

  • screwdriver;
  • Bulgarian;
  • a set of keys;
  • hammer;
  • scissors;
  • construction level;
  • container for mixing the solution;
  • heat-resistant sealant;
  • ceramic tiles;
  • foiled mineral wool;
  • plasterboard sheets;
  • bricks and masonry mixture (if you plan to make a brick podium).

Step-by-step installation instructions

Now it remains to figure out how to properly install the stove in the house. You need to act in several stages:

  1. First, they mark and form a cut in the wall into which the chimney will be led. A small rectangular hole is made in the wall, as shown in the photo.How to properly install a stove in a house - 1
  2. Since the installation of a fireplace stove in a country house requires mandatory thermal insulation, the next stage involves installing an aluminum profile frame. The supports are placed at a certain interval, depending on the size of the material.How to properly install a stove in a house - 2
  3. Next they are covered with non-flammable material. This could be, for example, Supersilika with heat resistance up to +1200°C. The next layer is a coating with a reflective surface, for example, foiled basalt. It is advisable to seal the seams with foil tape.How to properly install a stove in a house - 3
  4. Next, install a heat-insulating board, for example, Superizol. The seams are covered with heat-resistant glue. A 10 mm thick gypsum fiber board can be installed on the top tier.How to properly install a stove in a house - 4
  5. They make a hole in the wall through which the chimney will be brought out. Supersilika material can also be used here.How to properly install a stove in a house - 5
  6. They install the pipe and fill the inside with a basalt fiber composition. The seams are glued using heat-resistant glue - it should look something like this (external view).How to properly install a stove in a house - 6
  7. Next, install the chimney, strengthening the pipe with clamps every 1.5-2 m.How to properly install a stove in a house - 7
  8. The podium is decorated with ceramic tiles.How to properly install a stove in a house - 8
  9. The walls can be finished with artificial stone.How to properly install a stove in a house - 9
  10. Now we move on to the final stage - we need to figure out how to install the stove correctly. Assemble it according to the instructions and connect it to the chimney. Then they add firewood and heat it in test mode.How to properly install a stove in a house - 10

Thus, you can install a fireplace stove with your own hands. Since firewood is used for the firebox, there is a need for smoke removal. To do this, plan a place for the chimney in advance and begin installation from there. At the preliminary stage, it is important to plan materials and distances so as to take into account all fire safety requirements.
