I have long wanted to buy myself a steamer, but they are too expensive. I delayed the purchase, then the child was born, and I became afraid that he would simply get burned on the iron. I decided to take the cheapest option to try.

Where did you buy it and how much?

In our small town there is an Akson store with delivery. That’s where I bought myself an “assistant” for only 950 rubles.

Now I’m looking - you can order similar options in almost any online store, be it Wildberries, Ozone, Yandex.Market, etc. The cost is about the same.

First impression

The appearance, of course, is not very good - everything is as simple as possible. The water compartment is small. There is an on/off button, 2 modes - strong steaming and weak.

Heats up in about a minute. First, characteristic seething appears, and then steam. You need to be careful with it so as not to get burned.

You should not pour water above the recommended value, otherwise the equipment will start to “spit.” The lid covering the water compartment is convenient. It is screwed, which means it will definitely not fly off at the most inopportune moment.

Does it steam or not?

So now to the main point. Is it worth taking such a thing? In fact, Irit-Ir2314 irons mediocrely, but if you need to quickly process clothes, it will do.

I will show you the results using the example of three different fabrics.

The model processes cotton a little hard, but, in principle, not bad.

Works great with knitwear. I liked the result.

Denim is difficult.If you steam for a long time, you can remove creases, but damp spots remain.

Naturally, such a model will not take a drape coat and sheepskin coats. But it can clean the upholstery of a velor sofa. There is a special attachment - I use it to remove hair from cats, it works well.

In addition, you can clean light dirt on the tiles, go over mirrors and door frames, kill germs, so to speak.

What other advantages did you note?

• The design does not contain heating elements and works only with steam. Therefore, you can safely iron items made from delicate and delicate fabrics. The speed of the new ironing method is not comparable to the traditional one: much faster.
• Of course, work skills are needed, but by learning how to use this useful device, you can cope with a lot of things in a short time.
• The steamer solves numerous problems that arise when tidying up many items of men's and women's wardrobe. Let's think about jackets or outerwear. Anyone who has had to iron them knows how difficult it is to ensure the absence of wrinkles and creases when ironing such things.
• Elegant women's dresses pose an even greater problem: complex styles, lace decorations, and beadwork make it almost impossible to properly iron such models without the risk of ruining the dress. With a steamer, such things can be ironed easily.

Overall, I like it so far. It’s inconvenient that there is no special rack - you have to figure out where to hang your clothes.But what do you want from a steamer that costs a thousand? I also don’t like that the device can only be held vertically, otherwise water will spill out. Otherwise there are no complaints.
