Cheap and cheerful microwave oven Midea MM720C4E-W

I was looking for an inexpensive microwave with a decent design. Midea MM720C4E-W caught my eye for 4,500 rubles. It seemed “nothing”, we ordered from Eldorado. The microwave has been serving us for almost 3 years, and how it works - read on.

How does it work

The model is very easy to operate. There is nothing superfluous - a timer and power. You set the required values ​​and off you go.

We took it to heat up lunch. Sometimes we defrost meat - it copes with the task perfectly. I usually set the timer for warming up for about 2 minutes. The controls are standard - mechanical - so it won’t be difficult to figure it out.

If you need it to heat up faster, simply increase the power. It will be problematic to heat it up for half a minute, since the timer is designed for a minimum of 1 minute. You can, of course, try to set it to 30 seconds, but this will not be easy.

Advantages and disadvantages

The main advantage is the appearance. I really like the tinted, almost black glass. The equipment also heats up perfectly - no complaints.

If you set a little time, the timer will turn off without a click. The maximum operating time of the oven without interruption is 35 minutes. This is quite enough.

Once I even tried baking strudel in the microwave. It worked, but it came out a little dry: it was overheated. In general, the technology coped with the task.

And now the cons:

• the door slams loudly;
• the open key may squeak;
• if you wipe the glass surface with a wet cloth, streaks may remain (be sure to polish it dry at the end);
• The microwave itself is not very stable.

That's it, there are no more shortcomings. Reviews often say that the inner surface rusts. I don’t experience anything like this, but I use a lid to prevent drips from splashing when heating - maybe that’s why.

There was no foreign smell detected either - while it was new, there was none. Over time, he also did not appear - this is pleasing.

The enamel is quite easy to clean. It’s better to use non-aggressive means, but I tried strong ones a couple of times - nothing bad happened.

The microwave is compact. Its dimensions are 44x26x34 cm. Weight is 10.5 kg. The internal volume of the chamber is 20 liters. Microwave power is 700 W. The build quality is good, the turntables have chrome rims, and the plastic is durable. We have it on the shelf above the table - it’s convenient and doesn’t take up much space.

Let's sum it up

So, overall the model is not bad, especially for its price. The spinners, of course, could be more elegant, the power is rather weak, but thanks for that. If you don't need extra bells and whistles, this option will suit you.

The technology fully met our expectations. Can be used for both apartments and cottages.
