Stages of water filtration by the device

The first and main step in preparing the liquid will be mechanical filtration. The device extracts particles measuring 1 micron or more. The process removes elements such as:

As a result, the consumer receives a clear liquid. Upon completion of this stage, organic impurities, chemical and other elements can be removed. Ultrafine filtration models are used for these purposes.

In order to choose the optimal filter, you need to clearly understand what tasks it will perform:

• Hot and cold water purification;
• What impurities need to be removed;
• What should be the performance indicator and load volume in the equipment;
• Purposes of use: protection of pipes and equipment, cooking, etc.

In addition, it is necessary to take into account the place where the filter unit is used: apartment, private house, boiler room or large production facilities.

Cartridge materials

They are made from polypropylene fiber, woven polypropylene rope, cellulose or nylon fiber. But in most cases, the manufacturing material is polypropylene, due to its affordable cost and resistance to chemicals.
In addition, polypropylene fiber boasts a foam structure containing small bubbles. They are the ones who trap dirt and small impurities.

This material can be used in a temperature range from 1 to 52 degrees, which gives the consumer the opportunity to filter warm and cold water. But such filters, alas, cannot cope with hot liquid, and the consumer will need to give preference to cartridges made from impregnated cotton fiber.

Rules for installing a filter for water purification

1. It is recommended to place the pre-filter in front of the meter.
2. At the time of installation, it is necessary to take into account the direction of water pressure and install the device according to the arrow marked on the body.
3. It is possible to install a coarse mesh filter on a water supply system only in situations where there is a sump with an oblique arrangement. And then, installation is only possible when the water is directed from top to bottom.
4. Installation of devices with a direct sump should be carried out exclusively on horizontal pipes.
5. Installing the filter with the lid facing up is strictly prohibited.
