In this case, you cannot clean it yourself, but you must call a technician to remove the seal from the meter.During this cleaning, it is necessary to convince the technician to install a check valve, which would allow him to independently carry out preventive cleaning work in the future.
Procedure for cleaning the coarse water filter located in front of the meter
If it is not sealed, you need to prepare all the tools to clean it, and this is:
- open-end wrench 17/19;
- container for washing the filter;
- tow or FUM tape;
- rust remover (possibly Wd40).
After this, it is important to close the inlet valve and drain the water from the system by opening the taps. Next, unscrew the filter and rinse it with clean water.

If the tap does not turn off, use Wd40.
After that, use tow to seal it and put it in place. We slowly open the inlet valve and see if our system is leaking at the connection point. If everything is fine, open the valve fully.
