What to make from an old kettle

Over time, a lot of things accumulate in our apartments, and especially in our dachas, which are a pity to throw away. But they can always find new uses. Let's take a simple old teapot and see what we can do with it.

In the country

Decorating the site

Make a feeder or birdhouse out of it. Open the lid, take an old plate, preferably one that is not breakable. Place the teapot on a plate with the spout facing down. Pour the grain inside, it will pour out onto the plate through the spout.

You can make a birdhouse in the same way by securing the dishes to a tree.

The direct purpose of the kettle is to contain water. This property can be used in design.

2. If there are several products or there are also watering cans, you can make a whole cascade by building some kind of ladder and supplying water to the top kettle.

Vases and flowerpots

Creating vases allows you to use teapot decor not only in the country, but also in the apartment. Fill it with flower substrate, hang it or place it on a pallet, beautifully decorating the composition. Plant some plants. The smallest ones will successfully grow from the nose.

A perfect tea drinking device for creating coziness in your home.

1. Chandelier. Use an old teapot as a lampshade by cutting out the bottom. Hang it on an old thick chain.
2. Desk lamp. And here the teapot will help. Make a beautiful leg by using it as a base.
3. Night light. Shaded light will be created by small slits in the sides and lid of the kettle, as well as a light bulb inserted inside. You can get holes by drilling them.

Interior decoration

Make a design move. Clean the kettle from dirt and rust, prime its surface. Then find old machine parts, small figurines, plastic bottles, iron cans. Try working in the assemblage technique, which means, in French, a three-dimensional collage. Cut out the necessary details from cans and bottles, for example, flower petals, glue them and other found objects in the form of a composition with universal glue. Let dry.

Paint the resulting masterpiece with spray paint and place it in the most visible place in the apartment.

Glass teapot

If the product is made of transparent glass, it can be used to make a terrarium for flowers.Flowers are selected small, usually succulents, which have a horizontal root system. Drainage and a small layer of soil are placed at the bottom, plants are planted and covered with decorative mulch: wood chips, gravel, aquarium stones.
