A building level is a device that allows you to measure the flatness of a surface horizontally or vertically relative to the earth's surface. Simply put, a level is a tool that allows you to accurately control evenness. In construction practice, 3 main types of devices are used.

Bubble

The most popular is the bubble (rack) type. It has become the most widespread due to its simplicity, ease of measurement and affordability. The operating principle is associated with a colored liquid in a transparent flask. A bubble moves in it, by the position of which you can judge how smooth the surface is.

Varieties of bubble devices include pipe levels. Their operating principle is also related to air bubbles, but in addition they are equipped with magnets for attaching to pipes. Another modification is an electronic level. They have several chambers with bubbles, as well as a digital display. Thanks to this, it is possible to carry out measurements with an accuracy of 0.1O.

Hydraulic levels

Types of construction levels work on water, including hydraulic levels.This is a transparent tube, at its ends there are measuring flasks with a number of marks. The principle of operation is based on equalizing the liquid in communicating vessels.

To use the device, water is drawn into it, while avoiding the entry of air. Next, two people each take one flask in their hand and open the lids on them. Place one flask against the wall next to the mark, and the other in the area where you want to make the mark. Next, raise or lower the first part until the water levels in both flasks are located on the same straight line.

Laser

A professional tool that gives the most accurate results. It is equipped with electronic equipment and a laser, thanks to which measurements can be taken in just a few seconds. If you study how to choose the right building level for professional purposes, this type should be recommended first.

There are 3 types of devices:

1. Classical – equipped with a laser pointer that projects a beam onto the surface.
2. Level – placed on a tripod or bracket, generates a beam from the projector, by which the degree of evenness can be determined.
