How to make a boiler with your own hands? TOP best advice from professionals
It is not difficult to understand how to make a boiler with your own hands. For this purpose, improvised objects are suitable, for example, spoons, a heating element from a kettle or ordinary office razors. Step-by-step instructions with photos and descriptions of the action can be found in this article.

From razor blades
A do-it-yourself boiler made from the blades of ordinary office razors is easy to manufacture and economical. In addition, the steel from which the blades are made is of high quality - such a device can work for more than one year.
To make a tool, you will need to take available items:
- blades (maybe even dull, but clean and most importantly – identical);
- dielectrics, for example, plugs or plastic covers (if you don’t have anything, you can take regular matches);
- threads for attaching electrodes (metal objects or glue cannot be used for safety reasons);
- cord with plug (must have stranded copper wire).
The instructions on how to make a boiler are quite simple:
- First, strip the wires on the cord, leaving a bare part of a short length of 3 cm.
- Screw each end of the wire to the first and second blade. You should not use a soldering iron - it is better to fix the wire as tightly as possible by hand. If that doesn't work, you can use pliers.
- A homemade boiler is made from blades, which are fixed with a dielectric, for example, with matches.
- The resulting structure is fixed with threads - then you can make a reliable 12-volt boiler with your own hands. But if the blades hold without this, you don’t have to do anything.
- The boiler is ready for use. If necessary, you can adjust the distance between the razors. It is better to place them at intervals of 1 cm - then heating will occur quickly enough.
- Now it’s clear how to make a homemade boiler. All that remains is to test the device. It can work in any containers, with the exception of metal ones.
From ten
Another option for making a boiler from wire involves a heating element. You can use a heating element from an old kettle as a basis. This is the simplest case, since essentially everything is ready, it is only important to check the serviceability of the heating element. The sequence of actions is as follows:
- Disassemble the kettle, take out the cord with plug and heating element.
- “Ring” the heating element with a multimeter.
- Strip the insulation to 2-3 cm.
- Secure the terminals to the surface of the contacts of the heating device using a screwdriver.
- The cord wires are attached to the other side.
- Using a multimeter, check the entire electrical circuit, then check the operation of the device.
From nails
You can make a boiler with your own hands from plates or nails - the manufacturing principle is the same. You need to take 6 new nails, each 8 cm, as well as a wooden die. The instructions are:
- Using a drill, small holes are made in the board at intervals of 5 mm.
- Nails are inserted into them, driven in, but not completely, but with a gap of 3 cm, as can be seen in the boiler diagram.
- Clean the edges of the cable by 5 cm using wire cutters. As a result, only the metal part without varnish should remain.
- Wrap the exposed wires around the protruding parts of the nails.To make a powerful boiler with your own hands, tighten the wiring as tightly as possible.
- Next, hammer the nails in completely (preferably using pliers). You will get a fairly reliable boiler made from bolts.
From spoons
Another simple option is to make a device from ordinary metal spoons. The algorithm is as follows:
- The insulation is stripped from the cable.
- Place a fork on one end and spoons on the other.
- To make a homemade water boiler, spoons are placed on different sides and secured with clothespins. It is important that they do not touch each other.
- Fix the cable using tape and check the operation of the device.
Thus, there are several ways to make a boiler at home. During production and use, it is necessary to observe safety precautions - do not touch the water when the device is turned on, and also do not use it in metal containers.
It is worth noting that the heating rate depends both on the volume of liquid and on the distance between the electrodes. It is desirable that the interval be small, but the electrodes should not touch each other.
